My holidays

December                Laax (Switzerland)

I'm Metal Free.Whoop Whoop! went on a cheap weekender here. The conditions were perfect, it had just Dumped down before we got there. It was sunny blue sky's with powder to play in. These were the best conditions to start the season metal free. Gutted it was so short. Laax is great for park lovers, the main lift takes you to the pipe and park no need to hunt this one out. We found a back country kicker someone had built. Eventually managed to navigate the run in to make the landing zone, but it needed to much work and we had little time. Laax is a great resort on the slope but pretty lame off it. Having said that I will be going back. The two parks that were open had a Super Pipe, some kickers, and some rails.

March                Champoluc (Italy)

Hung around on the low slopes teaching some friends to snowboard, was a nice break. Good to be on the snow, but that dam metal was killing me.

December                Saas Fee (Switzerland)

Went here for a short weekend. Conditions were icy and frickin freezing. The park had one big kicker and no pipe. I was still recovering from a broken leg, and the metal plate they fitted was giving me grief. Rode for one day and could barely walk or the rest of the holiday.

April                 Bardonecchia (Italy)

I picked  Bardonecchia  as i new they had a big pipe because of the 2006 olympics. Also for the prestige of riding  the olympic pipe.

On  Bardonecchia homepage they also have a web cam fixed on it so i could check out the condition.

They have a good crew here looking after the pipe and park.

  March             Saalbach (Austria)

Hyped up as websites inform me that they have two pipes and one is floodlit !!!

Half pipe did not exist. locals say they might build one next year.

lucky for me it had dumped it down before we arrived so had lots of powder to play in.

Feb           Lesdeuxalps (France)

Wicked pipe after this i was hooked on riding big halfpipes.
